  • Investigation of immune system dynamics

II. Non-invasive biomarker screening for diagnostic and therapeutic applications using breath gas analysis: 

  • Mechanistic understanding of volatile breath biomarkers in disease development and progression
  • Biomarker screening for cancer detection and lung disorders 
  • Headspace analysis of cell cultures and engineered tissue
  • Skin gas analysis
  • Metabolic network analysis

III. Explainable machine and deep learning for personalized clinical decision making:

  • Inflammatory and infection risk analysis in patients with traumatic injuries
