Naghmeh Mahmodian received EURAMED Award

Naghmeh Mahmoodian, Postdoctoral researcher in the Chair of Medical Systems Technology received the 2022 EURAMED (European Alliance for Medical Radiation Protection Research) award for the best paper in medical radiation protection research at ERPW2022 conference. It was selected among all the candidate papers via voting by the scientific committee and confirmation of EURAMED executive board. This project is based on stop point determination during interventional microwave ablation therapy, which provides minimally invasive, targeted treatment of tumors using Computed Tomography (CT) images. ERPW2022 is every year gathering of experts from different sub-fields of radiation protection like nuclear medicine radiology, radiology, radiation Biology, dosimetry and environmental protection to exchange and discuss about the patient and staff protection from damaging effects of radiation exposure.
